Horrible Recession, but Oil above $45

In the face of the worst recession in at least 30 years, the average price for oil over any three month period has not fallen below $40/barrel.

We are nearing $50 per barrel. Because deficit spending is approaching 5% of GDP, I expect the recession is near over. What will happen to oil when the recession is over?
